Overview

With evidence strongly supporting the use of metabolic & bariatric surgery as a treatment for type 2 diabetes, there is a growing number of people with diabetes presenting for surgery. This population brings some unique challenges to medical, nutrition, behavioral health, and exercise providers for pre- and post-op management. In this session, our speakers will provide best practice guidelines for optimizing the care of people with diabetes before and after metabolic surgery.
