Health care coverage for obesity treatments is variable and problematic. This symposium will cover the state of obesity treatment coverage in the United States, including legislation currently pending in Congress, such as the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act of 2017. Further, health care providers actively working to provide evidence-based care will provide their insight about how best to get things reimbursed in the most efficient manner and the challenges of practicing obesity medicine under current restrictions.
