Despite more recognition of obesity as a disease, many challenges must be overcome to ensure people with obesity have access to care and support to effectively manage obesity. The ACTION studies (Awareness, Care & Treatment in Obesity Management) have been conducted 3 times across the world (US, Canada and Internationally including 11 countries) to investigate barriers to obesity management from the perspectives of people with obesity as well as healthcare providers. This session compares the results of the 3 studies and offers potential solutions to those barriers.
