Biography

Dr. Aaron Cypess received his PhD from the Rockefeller University in 1999 and medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University in 2000. His internal medicine and endocrinology training were at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and his postdoctoral research was in the lab of C. Ronald Kahn at Joslin Diabetes Center. For the last decade, Dr. Cypess has led a clinical and translational research program in human brown and white adipose tissue physiology, first as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and since 2014 as a Clinical Investigator in the Division of Intramural Research of the NIDDK.
