Biography

John A. Batsis, MD, FACP, AGSF, is an Associate Professor of Medicine and The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, NH. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Dublin, Trinity College, in Dublin, Ireland, and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Geriatrics at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Batsis is a Staff Geriatrician at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center providing primary care to older adults with multimorbidity and frailty, the Director of Clinical Research of the Dartmouth Weight and Wellness Center, and is currently funded by the National Institute on Aging focusing on strategies to improve Wellness in Older Adults with Obesity using mobile health technologies.
